ActorBook Privacy

Your Privacy

ActorBook uses essential browser storage and limited operational services. We do not sell your data, run advertising trackers, or record your screen.

Cookies and Browser Storage

  • Firebase stores authentication state in your browser so you can remain signed in.
  • ActorBook stores preferences such as voice, layout, and rehearsal settings in local storage.
  • Plausible Analytics uses no cookies or persistent browser identifiers.
  • Stripe may set strictly necessary fraud-prevention and checkout cookies when you choose to pay.

Ordinary ActorBook browsing does not set optional analytics or advertising cookies, so we do not display a consent banner that would imply otherwise.

Privacy-Friendly Analytics

  • Plausible counts aggregate page views and approved product events, including landing-page action clicks, without cookies or cross-site tracking.
  • Microsoft Clarity is disabled. ActorBook does not collect session recordings or heatmaps.
  • We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, behavioral advertising, or retargeting.
  • Analytics events never intentionally include names, email addresses, scripts, or recordings.

What We Store

  • Your browser — Preferences like teleprompter speed, voice selections, and layout settings are saved in browser local storage for instant access. These sync to your encrypted Firebase account so they follow you across devices.
  • Your account — Scripts, recordings, audition history, contacts, and profile data are stored in your private Firebase account, encrypted at rest with AES-256.
  • Authentication tokens — Short-lived, auto-refreshing tokens in your browser verify your identity on each request. They're not cookies — they're stored in local storage and sent as authorization headers.

Your Data, Your Control

  • Full account deletion available from your profile settings at any time.
  • Deletion removes everything — profile, scripts, recordings, cached files, billing records.
  • You can request data access or correction by contacting info@actorbook.studio.

Error Monitoring

We use Sentry to detect and fix crashes. Sentry collects error details (stack traces, browser type, and a redacted page path) to help us reproduce issues. ActorBook removes account identity, URL queries and fragments, credentials, and common personal fields before an event is sent. Sentry is operational error monitoring, not advertising analytics or session recording.

Payment Privacy

Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. ActorBook never sees, stores, or has access to your credit card numbers. For full details on how we protect your data, see our Security page.
